My journey began in childhood; through ballet lessons that utilized Pilates techniques, I experienced early on how this practice affects both body and soul. Sharing this with others is a gift. I began my official Pilates training in 2007 and have been teaching these courses with passion and joy ever since. Sharing the enthusiasm for movement is truly wonderful.

What are the benefits of Medical Pilates?

Joseph Pilates: The Visionary

Joseph Pilates (1883-1967), a German athlete and physical therapist, sought a method to overcome his own chronic conditions, including asthma and rheumatism. These ailments, which caused pain and stiffness in his joints and muscles, motivated him to develop his own system.

He further refined this method during World War I to assist in the rehabilitation of soldiers, combining elements of yoga, dance, boxing, and more. Originally, he called his method “Controllogy” (the art of control).

All you need is a comfortable mat, a foam roller (Pilatesrolle), and, if possible, a Pilates ball. If you have any questions about the equipment, I am happy to assist you.

Treatments are billed according to the German fee schedule for alternative practitioners (GebüH). Private health insurance companies and public service health benefits often reimburse the costs in full or in part. Please clarify coverage with your insurance company beforehand.
